The project is based on developing capabilities of farmers to adopt and practice climate resilient technologies. It involves research and extension on crops, livestock, natural resource management and integrated farming system approach to promote adaptation and mitigation strategies in agriculture. One of the major activities under the project include technology demonstration on farmers’ fields to cope with current climate variability and capacity building of different stake holders, including farmers and extension functionaries to versed with sustainable agricultural practices under climate change scenario.

The agriculture sector is a victim of climate change and is considered to be a reasonable contributor towards greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that have led to climate change. We need to prepare farmers for the adoption of climate-smart agriculture to attain sustainable production and reduced emissions.
